On Monday, September 26, at the Cafe in the Garden of the Numismatic Museum, the book “The Development of the Blind Child from 0 to 3 Years” was successfully presented.
The book is a translation of the French book of the same title into Greek, it has been published by Amimoni and Kaleidoscope Publications and is the first textbook in Greece for the development of children with visual disabilities.
The event was welcomed by Mrs. Domna Michailidou, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mrs. Dimitra Nanou, Deputy Regional Governor of the Southern Sector of Athens, Mrs. Paraskevi Bellou, President of the Board of Directors of Amimoni, Mrs. Alexa Apostolaki, Publisher of Kaleidoscope Publications, Mr. Sante Giovannetti, psychologist, from the “La Pepiniere” Center in France and Dr. Ilias Papazisis, General Manager of the HOMED company and sponsor of the Edition.
The central person of the event was Mrs. Nathalie Caffier, one of the two authors of the book, Special educator of the “La Pepiniere” Center, from whom Amimoni received the necessary know-how to create her programs in her first steps.
The panel was completed by Ms. Marina Strothmann, Neuropsychologist, from the Blindeninstitut in Germany, Dr. Nikolaos Kozeis, pediatric ophthalmologist and constant collaborator of the Association, and Mrs. Katerina Lymberopoulou, Special Educator, Trainer in the Early Intervention Program of Amymoni.
The discussion was moderated by Ms. Christiana Zotou, Coordinator of Amymoni.
