Last week, the 1st Panhellenic Local Government Forum for Persons with Disabilities was held, on October 1st and 2nd, at the Model Building for Persons with Disabilities of the Municipality of Elliniko – Argyroupoli, at the initiative of Mayor Yiannis Konstantatos.<\/p>\n
Two days full of action, emotion and inspiration, where important initiatives were presented, promises of cooperation were made and strong voices were heard for an inclusive society.<\/p>\n
Amymoni actively participated in two thematic sections, represented by Ourania Zoi who made a presentation and Christiana Zotou, who coordinated the last thematic section of the second day.
\nAt the same time, experiential activities were held where young and old played and moved with their eyes closed and a tour of the Sensory Integration Room of the \u201cIris\u201d Day Care Center was held, offering participants the opportunity to get to know firsthand the methods and tools that Amymoni uses to educate and empower people with visual and additional disabilities.<\/p>\n
With particular joy and emotion, our President, Ms. Paraskevi Bellou, received an honorary award, receiving the commemorative plaque that was awarded to Amymoni. \ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n
