\ud83c\udf89 The 2nd Meeting of the Large-Scale Skills Partnership for Long-Term Care was successfully held!<\/p>\n
On Wednesday 2 July 2025, more than 30 professionals, organisations and stakeholders from all over Europe, active in the field of long-term care, participated in the Open Day organised by the European project Care4Skills, in the framework of the Pact for Skills.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udc49 The aim of the meeting was the participatory formation of thematic working groups for:<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udd39 Person Centred Care<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udd39 Digital Skills for care workers<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udccc Key issues were discussed such as:<\/p>\n
– The need to strengthen care in the community and deinstitutionalisation<\/p>\n
– Supporting older people living alone, with a focus on home safety and the provision of technical and digital solutions (e.g. telehealth, smart monitoring devices, emergency alert services)<\/p>\n
– Challenges in integrating migrant workers into the care sector<\/p>\n
– The importance of upgrading digital skills, appropriate training and technological support at work<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcc6 The working groups will meet every two months, with the aim of sharing good practices, empowering professionals and effectively reforming the care sector at European level.<\/p>\n
