\ud83d\udccd With the participation of representatives from public bodies and care service organizations, an online Focus Group meeting on long-term care was held on Wednesday 30\/4\/2025.<\/p>\n
The meeting was organized by Amymoni and the Child and Adolescent Center, as part of the pan-European Care4Skills project, which recognizes the importance of digital transformation and the growing need for person-centered care. The project aims to improve the existing skills of workers in the sector, so that they can better support people who need help due to age, disability or mental health problems.<\/p>\n
The discussion began with a historical review of the field of Long-Term Care, focusing on critical historical events, public policies, innovations and recurring practices that have shaped the sector. This was followed by an analysis of the current state of the Long-Term Care sector, the changes taking place, as well as the uncontrollable factors that affect it.<\/p>\n
The participants had the opportunity to discuss and examine future challenges and developments in the sector and to share their views on the factors that will shape the future of long-term care. In closing, they were invited to envision and share the ideal future scenario for the development of the field, an activity that was designed based on the \u201cFuture Planning\u201d methodology.<\/p>\n
The Focus Group Meeting was a particularly meaningful opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions, contributing to the enrichment of the discussion around the upgrading of Long-Term Care.<\/p>\n
