{"id":17371,"date":"2023-11-30T12:15:52","date_gmt":"2023-11-30T10:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amimoni.gr\/?p=17371"},"modified":"2024-01-10T12:28:20","modified_gmt":"2024-01-10T10:28:20","slug":"amimoni-will-participate-at-the-1st-open-agora-at-the-snfcc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amimoni.gr\/en\/amimoni-will-participate-at-the-1st-open-agora-at-the-snfcc\/","title":{"rendered":"Amimoni will participate at the 1st Open Agora at the SNFCC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aiming to activate public space as a shared meeting place of accessibility and creativity, the <strong>Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center<\/strong> (SNFCC) is inviting nonprofit, independent, voluntary and activist organizations to participate in a two-day <strong>open agora<\/strong> that will take place on <strong>December 2th and 3rd<\/strong> at the SNFCC Lighthouse. <strong>Amimoni<\/strong> will be present in this <strong>1st Open Agora. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the context of this event, the word \u201cAgora\u201d has a twofold meaning: a platform for acquaintance and discussion between the SNFCC\u2019s public and various social action groups, as well as a place for hosting an open market in which organizations will be able to sell their products to support their cause.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative aims to raise awareness among the SNFCC\u2019s public on issues that concern the everyday life of us all and are associated with the scope of activities of participating groups, as well as to support the participating organizations by providing them with a platform of extroversion.<\/p>\n<p>The open agora is inaugurated in December, on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons (Dec. 3), and will be staged on SNFCC premises at regular intervals, each time dedicating its content to a different theme. In this way, more and more groups of citizens and organizations will be given the opportunity to participate and disseminate their values and mission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amimoni<\/strong> is waiting for you on Sunday, December 3, 2:30-3:30 p.m., with a workshop on the topic: Guide Seeing Technique. In this activity, the participants become familiar with the technique of accompanying people with a visual impairment, as in pairs, using a sleep mask, they will learn what it is like to accompany a person with a visual impairment. The route will be random. A white cane for the blind will also be provided, with which participants can interact. The action is aimed at children from 6 years and older and adults.<\/p>\n<p>During the weekend, Amimoni will have it&#8217;s own stand in the open market, selling products to support our
