Leventis Foundation supports the Polichni Program for the 8th year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;<strong>Polichni&#8221; Guesthouse<\/strong>, one of the four structures of Amimoni, continues to operate for the eighth year thanks to the valuable support of the <strong>A.G. Leventis Foundation<\/strong>, which since 2015 covers part of its annual operating costs. The support of the &#8220;Polichni&#8221; project by the A.G. Leventis Foundation, has multiple benefits for our children and their families.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Polichni&#8221; has been operating since March 1996 and is housed in a detached house in Chalandri. This is <strong>the only Education Program in independent living for people with visual impairments and additional disabilities<\/strong> in Greece.<\/p>\n<p>Its goal is the development of daily living skills through a lifestyle that enables the personal development of the beneficiaries, communication, maximum autonomy, social integration and their support.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Amimoni participates in the <strong>Going Green<\/strong> program for the environmentally responsible operation of organizations, applied by WWF Greece at the initiative of the A. G. Leventis Foundation, implementing practices that reduce the environmental footprint.<\/p>\n<p>The practical support of the A. G. Leventis Foundation to the &#8220;Polichni&#8221; Hostel, substantially improves the quality of life of our children and <strong>makes us feel more secure and optimistic that we will continue our work without interruption<\/strong>, with the aim of the right to education and dignity of children with visual impairments and additional disabilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;Polichni&#8221; Guesthouse, one of the four structures of Amimoni, continues to operate thanks to the valuable support of the A.G.
