\"\"<\/p>\n

Amimoni<\/a> is one of the partners in the project ErISFaVIA<\/a> <\/strong>(Early Intervention Services for Families with Children with Vision Impairment and Additional Disabilities<\/em>) which was approved by the Erasmus+ Programme (Key Action 2).<\/p>\n

Ten organizations compose the consortium of this project. In specific three of them are universities [University of Thessaly<\/a> (coordinating organization)\/Greece, University Babes-Bolyai<\/a>\/Romania, and Istanbul Medeniyet University<\/a>\/Turkey], two are special schools for students with vision impairment (Liceul Special pentru Deficienti de Vedere<\/a>\/Romania and St. Barnabas School for the Blind<\/a>\/Cyprus), and five are non-profit non-governmental organizations for persons with multiple disabilities and vision impairment (Amimoni<\/a> \/Greece, Syzoi<\/a>\/Greece, Ayse Nurtac Sozbir Gunebakan<\/a>\/Turkey, Blindeninstitut Munchen<\/a>\/Germany, Mali dom\/Croatia). The consortium of the ErISFaVIA project consists of researchers and practitioners who combine knowledge and experience regarding early intervention and education for children with vision impairment and additional disabilities.<\/p>\n

The main objectives of the ErISFaVIA project are the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. to develop an enriched and updated training material for professionals who work in early intervention programs,<\/li>\n
  2. to promote the collaboration between universities, schools, institutions and associations of families who have children with vision impairment and additional disabilities, and<\/li>\n
  3. to highlight best practices and guidelines for the development of effective early intervention services for children with vision impairment and additional disabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It is expected that the outcomes of this project will contribute to developing effective early intervention services, enhancing professionals\u2019 skills and supporting families and children with vision impairment and additional disabilities. In addition, many of the tangible products of the ErISFaVIA project will be uploaded on the project\u2019s portal as Open Educational Resources. In this way, professionals, stakeholders as well as policy makers will be able to have access and use them in order to improve their educational policies, practices, methods and techniques.<\/p>\n
