The “Iris” Day Care Centre caters for approximately 40 multiply disabled visually- impaired children and adults, aged from 6 to 45 years old.
The goal of the centre is the development of daily living skills in multiply disabled visually- impaired individuals.
The main objectives of the programme are the following:
- to develop learners’ inherent cognitive potential to the fullest
- to help them become self-reliant
- to help them develop orientation and mobility skills
- to teach social skills to them
